Interning and Trusting the process 3/13/2016

3 months down, 5 more to go! I haven't been doing a whole lot lately in the local office, just some odd jobs here and there, and I am completely ok with that. I want to save up most of my hours for when the summer starts. We are just touching on getting the summer materials prepared.
Support levels have been up and down.
In February the ending support level was $227.00 after two pays periods, and currently I am down to $72.00 after the two pay periods in March.
My church that I attend has decided to support me $100.00 a month! God does provide partners!
    

Interning and trusting the process 2/1/2016

Its been one month since I started my internship with western wisconsin and I love it! I love the job, I love the people who I work with and I love how it makes me more independent in my work.

This month I have started on getting all the summer teaching materials ready for the teens who will be going out to teach clubs this year. 

That task will be the longest one. There is a lot of re-writing introductions, puppet skits, and revamping the schedule of the club activities. Its going to be long but worth it.

This weekend is a winter retreat for the teens who will be returning this summer and for those who are interested to come. Its a great opportunity to see old friends and for the new teens to meet some of the staff, the other summer missionaries, and to see the camp where the training takes place. Me and my area director are leading worship and all the music at the retreat. In preparation for that I made a lot of power points, practicing songs, and getting some short devotions ready. Along with that I recently found out that I will be a cabin counselor!

It may not sound like much, but just being involved in a ministry for so long doing the same things every year its just different taking on new roles. This year I am a staff member and team leader instead of a camper. However, I am looking forward to it,

Here's to one month!  For January's support totals, I don't know yet. I'm just waiting on my support statement to come.        

Interning and trusting the process 1/7/2016

It's official I am a part-time intern for CEF of Western Wisconsin. I would like to keep you all updated on what's been going on with this internship and how the Lord has been working. This is a new step in life and I would say an adventure as well. This is going to be a big process through these next few months, I am a little bit nervous too on how it will work out with my other two part time jobs.

Monday was my fist day and it was a very good start to the new year.
A day of making up schedules and today is preparing a teacher meeting for some clubs taking place in some of the local schools.
This new year is going to be very different not being a summer missionary but a summer intern. Change can be good, and in this case I am welcoming it with open arms. More updates will be coming as they happen along with support levels.
